Digital working processes in our Lean Lab.

The lab dosing unit, which weighs eight tons, was specially built for the lab in Münster.

The modular “Lean Lab” concept ensures optimized, digitalized and transparent processes and efficient use of resources in the laboratory area throughout Europe. All job orders and the associated experiments within the lab are digitally stored and documented. Moreover, our lab dosing machine can manufacture standard formulas from over 300 liquid raw materials – making it the only one of its kind in the coatings industry. All processes are intelligently designed to foster customer-specific product developments, manufacture paint samples and perform application tests.

Tracingo is our solution for fill level measurements and location analyses of intermediate bulk containers. The project was created by our Logistics unit and Container Management Münster in collaboration with the Digital Incubation Unit. With Tracingo, we know where our containers are – whether on our premises or en route to the customer – and their fill level. As a result, the deployment of IBCs can be planned more efficiently. Tracingo sensors are ATEX-certified and therefore meet the highest safety requirements.
