BASF's Münster site is the world's largest integrated paint manufacturing site and simultaneously the headquarters of BASF's Coatings division. We develop, produce and market innovative solutions for automotive OEM and automotive refinish coatings.

Münster is the home of the world's largest integrated paint manufacturing site. It is the headquarter of BASF's Coatings division. For over 110 years, paints have been developed and produced at our site in Münster. Today, our research, development, sales and marketing competencies are also consolidated here.

  • Automotive OEM coatings, automotive refinish coatings and solutions beyond paint are manufactured at the Münster site
  • 427,000 square meters is the total area of the site premises (around the size of 60 soccer fields)
  • With approx. 2,300 employees from more than 40 nations we are one of the largest industrial employers in Münster and the region
  • About 140 trainees/apprentices are enrolled in training here
